Common Questions relating to the Disability Tax Credit

"How much does this service cost?"

We do not charge any upfront fees. If you receive a refund we base our fee on the amount of money we collect for you (our rate is much lower than many of our competitors). If no money is collected, there is no charge.
"What makes you different than others?"

Since we are tax specialists and financial planners, we can answer the age-old question of "what happens to my son or daughter when I am gone?" A free financial plan (a $549 value) is offered to anyone who wants one. If one is incorporated, free or nearly free insurance can be applied for which includes health and life insurance to protect your family. Also many other services not currently taken advantage of can be used to help family members.
"How come my accountant/tax preparer did tell not me anything about this?"

How often do you review your taxes with him/her? If it is only once a year (at tax time) that should tell you something. Generally, accountants/tax preparers will ask very few questions about family members' health, which changes constantly. This is especially true for seniors! Consider this: when was the last time someone who did your taxes asked you about your family members, which includes grandparents, uncles, nieces, etc.?
"When do I get my money?"

Generally, the timeframe is three to six months. There can be some variance, but this is a fairly typical prediction.
"Is my information private?"

Yes. All information is used only to obtain the money that is owed to you! We will never distribute your information to any outside parties.
"What if my income is too low?"

In many cases, we can transfer the tax credit to other higher-income earners.
"Can I get money back on behalf of my father, mother, or other family member?"

Yes, you can!
"Do you do personal taxes or corporate taxes?"

Yes, we will continue to assist you after we help you obtain the disability tax credit.
"My child is under 18 and pays no taxes. Can he/she still qualify?"

We can in many cases get money back even if it's not owed according to the individual's tax returns.
"Can you help us with the new RDSP?"

We are the only firm in Canada that can show how some people can turn $20,000 into $164,000 (assuming only a 3% return) in twenty years, in the new RDSP! No other bank, or firm is showing people how to do this. This is part of our exclusive new package for new clients.
